Bitmap editor

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Bitmap editor

Post by Grah »

Is there anywhere I could download an editor for the units used in this game? I thought I remebered seeing something about that in a post. I just want to give it a try.

Also I am trying to make paratroops as reinforcements available on the first turn for the player to direct as he wishes. He has the choice of which objectives to drop on, not the scenario designer, but I'm having trouble doing this.

TIA

I dont know about the bitmap editor but maybe I can answer your second question. I dont think you can do what you asked with parachutes. You can do it though with glider troops. Take a look at the "Lightning Strikes" scenario for the howto. Perhaps this is close enough.

Hi Grah!
For bitmap image editing you can just use Paint, part of your Windows package.
For shp files, download Fred's ShpEd at http://freds.webprovider.com/programs.htm
With this you convert the shp file to a bitmap file, then use Paint to modify it.
And for OOB editing, there is the editor that came with SPWaW.
These should handle all your editing needs!
