Maximum-Football CD label and case cover?

Post by flyingwedge »

Hi,

I have the download version of Maximum-Football. I've looked through the installed files, and don't see graphics for either a CD label or a CD case cover. Is this included? If not, does anyone have homemade versions that they'd be willing to share? (And if not, why not?)

Did you choose the download version only or both versions

The boxed version has a case and the cd is labelled with the cd key on the cd itself.

Download version only, which is why I'd like to have a label and case cover, so I can tell it apart from all my other burned CDs. Obviously, it's nicer to have a real label and cover than to just scrawl "maximum-football" in Sharpie.

I'd think it would be simple enough for Matrix Games to supply these.

This is an issue that a Matrix Games representative or David should answer because it has to do with intellectual property rights.

I really never thought of it before, but if the cover and label are part of the game, I don't know why they wouldn't be part of the download, or available to download, other than to spoil counterfeiters.

I don't know whether it would hurt counterfeiters. I wouldn't even know what the retail package looks like, as I don't think that there are any photos of it on the site. I think a counterfeiter could come up with a fake image that would fool buyers anyway. An electronic version would just be a convenience for download-only purchasers.

I'm sure that it just didn't seem like an important part of the package to the marketing department.

I don't believe anyone else has ever asked for this. At least not with this title. These items are not included with the installation package. The install package is generated from files that I give to Matrix, and I don't have any of the artwork for either the CD or the case.
