witpdecoder questions

Post by nihilimus »

Anyone know where I can find cluster files for Scen 155 / CHS 2.08?

If they don't exist, anyone know where I can get a complete list of base names and base IDs already in an Excel/CSV format?

And one more question: It seems that witpdecoder does not differentiate between bases Japan controls versus those controlled by the Allies. This means -- for instance -- the China, Korea, Russia cluster would potentially include data for bases controlled by your opponent. It seems the cluster file should be updated as the game progresses. Is this correct? Is there a utility to make this easy?

Why do you think that? The thing witpDecoder does not take into account is whether your cluster is actually connected (if it is not, then parts of your HI production may be down without witpDecoder warning you about lacking Resources/Oil). But of course only production and consumption at bases owned by the player is counted.

And now I give over to whoever is using scenario 155.

I created a cluster for Sumatra and noticed that oil and resources were being added even before I took control of Palembang.

At least on Andrew Brown's map also other bases in Sumatra than Palembang generate Oil and Resources.
Click on the clustername and look which bases are shown in the bottom left window. Are there any which you don't own? Do the bases shown there not explain the amount shown in the table?

If the answer is yes to any of the questions above, you found a bug. Otherwise your clusterbases.csv file is probably wrong. Clicking on the clustername for verification is BTW mentioned in the documentation.

It was an error on my part ([:o]). I have fixed the cluster file, and there is not a bug.

I am still in search of a completed update for Scen 155 / CHS 2.08.

let me know if you find a cluster file for CHS 155.  I was going to work on one but I have not had the time.
