New home for SPWAW multiplayer gaming

Post by Mike Rothery »

Combat Command, the multiplayer league for Steel Panthers World at War has a new home. Effective immediately Combat Command can now be found at www.WarfareHQ.com

We are in the process of shifting the record center from MilitaryGamerOnline.com and we hope to have it operational within the fortnight.

In the meantime, a new forum has been establish to decide the campigns for future leagues, league rules, and to help you find other players interested in PBEM or H2H SPWAW. The new forum can be found at via this link Combat Command Forum

I hope to see as many old Combat Command players as possible come over and give Joe Osborne and I your ideas for the next leagues.

And a warm welcome to any new players who wish to test their skills against human opponents for SPWAW.

If I can ask: what' the reason of the move?
Is it Militarygamer who doesn't want to host the page anymore or what else?

The database and record center that underpin CombatCommand was coded by Joe Osborne, who is now on the staff over at WarfareHQ. I could do no more than keep it running as Joe left it, despite some real need for changes. David Heath and I have been asking Joe for help with running the service on and off aver the last 14 months, and when Joe was asked to helped move CombatCommand onto MilitaryGamer's new server he suggested bringing it over to WarfareHQ were he could give it more support. David agreed, and Joe and I are getting ready to re-open the record center soon.
