Operation "Face Off" - BigB 1.31

Post by Helpless »

First I wanted to start an Allied only AAR as a response to Castor's "yellow" pages [:)] tm.asp?m=1457616.

But then everything developed so rapidly that there is no place on map which could be hidden from hordes of Emilies or Glenns sub-birds. [:)]

So I decided not to hide from Japanese propaganda and meet it here in open discussion. [:)]

Knowing all belletristic abilities of my opponent, I think current situation is well described in his AAR.

Just shortly:

We just reached March 42.

He is finishing invading SRA and PI. Singapore garrison capitulated on Feb-1. I have just small guerrilla companies left in Malaya.

Manila is under heavy siege and keep fighting. Mindanao is still untouched.

All DEI is captured. Only one strong hold is left - Soerabaja. [:'(]

NG is all captured. PM is under heavy pressure of enemy LB.

He pushed me down to the south pole in South Pacific. All buttons on SoPac TFs saying "Return to Noumea" are grayed out. [:(]

I'm retreating in Burma under heavy 100+ Zero sweeps

In China we keep flash-rail-movement of troops in small group of 30-40 LCU [:D]

As you see, my opponent is fast and furious. He is very confident. He is not even using DB in his KB force. [;)] Even with one hand tied he managed to sink CV Yorktown [&o]. But picture can describe him better that 1000 word [;)]

Very nice post my friend! I really had to laugh![:D]

So let me post here what Japanese news agencies are reporting from the front:

Manila is just a big POW camp of Imperialist troops that will be cleared soon if not most of the troops there are starved to death. The troops on Mindanao are still offered to surrender, lay down their weapons and get a free ride on a couple of luxuruios Japanese AKs to a nice place in Thailand!

The Dutch have retreated everything that was able to move to Soerabaja where they are now waiting to be wounded or killed. The former visits of Japanese BBs were just the expression of Japanese naval power but following the Geneva convention the BBs heavy guns stayed silent as they won´t shoot on civilian targets. The Dutch though are barricading in the town surrounded by poor civilians fearing for their lives and possessions.

New Guinea was freed and and the Australian occupied base of Port Moresby is no threat anymore as the flak units there have already started throwing coconuts at the superior Japanese aircrafts!

After achieving unjustified kills against an Oscar daitai that was on a friendly patrol over Chinese territory the AVG was bleeded for that infamy! The American volunteers and the airforce of the British surpressors have retreated to India and are trying to play a cat and mouse game. Like everywhere on the map they fear the mighty Japanese combined forces and gave up the important base of Rangoon! Now they are sitting in a malaria base called Mandalay.

250.000 Chinese troops ignored the justified Japanese territory claims and marched to Nanchang and in an act of terror they tried to take the city but failed against the brave Japanese garrison. Seeing the hopeless situation the Chinese troops are already retreating, leaving their material and those who died in action behind!

In the freed area of New Caledonia an enemy CV TF was spotted. Due to discrepancies aboard the IJN carriers, on who will have the honour to sink the American carriers, Admiral Nagumo decided to only send the Kate daitais with a small escort and a lot of Samurai spirit! It turned out that the Imperialists weren´t up for a fair fight and so the Japanese attack planes found themselve 5:1 outnumbered by enemy fighters. Nevertheless the brave pilots of the torpedoe carrying Kates sunk the aircraft carrier Yorktown with three well placed torpedoes. [:D]

I just created an avatar for me today. Is this picture copyrighted or can I use it? I should swap out BB Yamato for this brave Japanese Samurai![:D]

I have also a picture for you:[8D]

We just captured radio broadcast from USAFFE commander general MacArthur I:

My dear fellows... <heavy white noise>....and I have to ... <heavy white noise> ...that PT boat...<heavy white noise>... drop of supply left after... <heavy white noise>.. kill.. <heavy white noise> ... arse... <heavy white noise> ...ocracy.. <heavy white noise> ...return..

As much as we can understand they keep standing strong. US Navy and Army started operations according to verified plan - "War Plan Orange"

Latest combat reports just proved that. We still have mighty artillery. Our fort level should surprise enemy as well [8D]

Ground combat at Manila

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 92792 troops, 1203 guns, 41 vehicles, Assault Value = 2570

Defending force 102139 troops, 792 guns, 363 vehicles, Assault Value = 2259

Allied ground losses:
214 casualties reported
Guns lost 5

Our mighty sub force already forced enemy carrier based DB to switch to permanent naval search. We expect that soon their TB planes would be able to run only ASW. [:)]

Let's see how our subs seed death to enemy vessels:

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 03/01/42

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sub attack at 29,76

Japanese Ships
AG AG-114, Shell hits 4, on fire, heavy damage

Allied Ships
SS KXIV

Forts won´t be a real problem as your engineers were constantly repairing the airfield damage! [:D] Though with the Samurai spirit of fighting a fair battle the Japanese troops ask the American surpressors of the Philipines to come out of the town to fight in open field as fighting out of basement windows and roofs isn´t honourable at all...

War plan orange must be only American propaganda as several BBs were severely damaged due to the glorious Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour (legitimate self defense btw!). Those BBs that were hit at Pearl Harbour are considered scrap metal. The Americans would be doing good in saving them for scrapping instead of sending them towards our bases where they then will act as coral reefs!

To deny enemy claims, US Navy reassured that all battleships which where meanly and cowardly attacked in Pearl Harbor are finishing final painting procedures on West Coast and soon will be ready for action. [:'(]

Meanwhile, our submarines reported sightings of heavily damaged former enemy carrier Hiryu. She has been seen in harbor of temporary occupied port of Noumea. Heavy smokes under it's deck proves that most probably Japanese turned that useless vessel to BBQ restaurant or sushi-bar [:D]

Chinese Army command proud to announce that lately they finished testing new military technology called "Shaolin Stealth", aka Chinese ghost LCU. Our ghost soldiers made devastating effect on enemy!!

However the technology is not yet fully tested, so it caused a collision in time continuum and kicked everything to 3 days back in time (3 WITP turns). Now enemy should suffer form double Monday as well - 2nd of March 1942 [:'(] [:D]

Unfortunately the Chinese high command now knew that initially the troops at Nanchang were cut off by only 4 tank regiments for only one day. The next day there would have been a dozen divisions as reinforcement. While at the original Monday only a base force probed an attack on my tanks and failed at the "second" Monday all Chinese units attacked... [8|]

Originally there were 100.000 Chinese troops cut off in Nanchang and 4 Japanese tank regiments in excellent shape. Now there are no cut off Chinese troops anymore but 4 Japanese tank regiments wrecked. It seems that this anomaly in time has absolutely favoured the Chinese troops.

We now hope that the Japanese Army can take advantage of some other anomaly that may happen sooner or later.

Today enemy captured yet another oil field intact - Brunei. [:@]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground combat at Brunei

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 2382 troops, 15 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 80

Defending force 901 troops, 13 guns, 3 vehicles, Assault Value = 3

Japanese max assault: 67 - adjusted assault: 30

Allied max defense: 2 - adjusted defense: 5

Japanese assault odds: 6 to 1 (fort level 2)

Japanese forces CAPTURE Brunei base !!!

Japanese ground losses:
25 casualties reported
Guns lost 1

Allied ground losses:
1231 casualties reported
Guns lost 3

Special joint British and Dutch government commission is formed to investigate where all this dynamite was wasted on so many oil fields. [&:] Traitors will be trailed and executed!

Situation is complicated by the non bombing agreement, which allows to bomb only totally deserted industrial places served by semi-humans or robots. Today the only valid targets which satisfy this convention are located in home island of Japan. Situation is closely monitored by all humanitarian organizations, i.e. Humans Watch Always Left-to-Right, Red Plus and Imperial Japanese Meatball Eaters.

Chang Kai-Shek government authorities opened a statue to American military adviser Brian W. Big or BigB(udha). This is done into recognition to all the efforts made by main military architect of modern Chinese army.

"Thanks to BigB and Matrix Railroads Corp. Without any doubt our army is now strongest in the whole continent" - said anonymous source from in Chinese Army HQ - "and only stupid conventions do not allow to us to throw enemy to the Chinese Ocean"

This is somehow proved by statement of some anonymous Japanese commanders that the only their hopes are time and weather anomalies [;)]

Monument is opened in the center of Chunking. After the war it is planned to move it into the Beijing-Shanghai mega-polis - the new capital of Republic of China.

What can I say - I am flattered. But I believe it has been demonstrated that China is privy to too much supply in 1.31, so this Juggernaut will be a bit hungrier in 1.4.

Now - Generalisimo, back to your war [:)]
