AI overrides me in manager mode.

I was playing PSB and I was managing. The AI inserted a pinch hitter instead of letting my pitcher hit. AND REMEMBER I WAS MANAGING!! Is this a bug? If it isn't, what can I do to NOT have this happen. If I can't fix it, I want a refund.

GMB, it must be a bug. I've managed a total of 14 and a half seasons, game-by-game, among three different associations and that has never happened to me.

Has this occurred more than once?

No this only happened once. It was a situation with men on base but I let the pitcher bat. Most managers would have pinched. The AI thought the pinch hitter idea was best too. Weird huh...

I'm curious... was the pitcher injured or had they just been injured in the game? I've seen cases where, even if I'm managing the game, the AI will replace an injured player with a healthy one; without checking with me first. That is, of course, with the understanding that I've defined it in Managerial Tendencies for them to do so.

Perhaps this was the case?

I have simmed at least several hundred games over the last 3-4 years, and I've never seen this happen. My take has always been that when I manage the game, the AI can only sit in the bleachers, drink beer, and not get involved at all in the play-by-play. This feature would almost have to be absolute 100% of the time. Hmmmm. Keep an eye out for another instance of this...I know I will be watching now.

As a note to my previous post, prompted by Bustoff's comments, the change the AI did was pre-game, when you see the game's Lineup. I had forgotten to sub for my injured RF so that AI took it upon itself to replace him with someone else. Granted, it chose my backup-1B who has no outfield experience... nice.

Anyway, it's something that I should have caught and simply didn't. The AI has never done anything during a game I am managing.
