HttR scenarios for BftB

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

It's been a while, but was that the (short) scenario where Pfiefer's tanks had to back-track and find an alternate route?

I seem to recall that these HttR add-on scenario's were from a link on a site called the drop zone/depot. As I said, it's been a while.

In any event, I am eagerly looking forward to BftB. keep us posted.

Race for the Meuse is the scenario in BFTB where Peiper had to take an alternate route when the Salm river bridges were blown at Trois Ponts. I have an AAR of the scenario going in this forum which is temporarily on hold while I work to get my home internet connection restored. Check out the AAR if you are interested in seeing how that scenario is set up in BFTB.

Note that timing of attacks are being considered, as well as various checkboxes allowing the player more control over the action of his forces.

Basing dictates whether you want subordinant artillery and bases to follow the HQ closely, or set up base well to the rear.

Attacks dictates whether you want the force to choose it's own enemy positions to attack as it moves forward to it's waypoint. This provides some interesting situations with the move or defend commands. Kind of 'max aggro' on steroids.

Bypass is kind of the opposite of attacks.

Stragglers dictates whether the force will continue on or not even if some attached units are exhausted or otherwise delayed.

Ambush dictates whether a unit will hold fire until within optimum FP range.

Retake position dictates whether a unit forced back from its objective should try to retake the position or await new orders.

What an excellent improvement on the User Interface !!!

Taking into account these new UI options, and the photographs and specifications that will be shown for the equipment, I think that the new demo that is being planned for the Airborne Assault engine should be done with the BftB version. I am sure that the players will enjoy these new features a lot.

I also want to suggest the inclusion of a photograph of the unit boss, to appear with the currently available biography, and the Divisional insignia/patch, to appear when a unit is selected.

Wow !!! I am really looking forward to Battles from the Bulge !!!

Has this new feature definitely made it into BftB?
