Dave has actually flown in reinforcements. Hopefully this does not turn into another Iwo Jima. Thankfully I do have LBA bombers coverage this time around.

RAF continues to be very active in Burma. I have bombed enemy troops and installations at Mandalay. Japanese seems to have + 100 000 men there currently. No doubt behind level 9 forts.

Curious -

When do the Soviets activate?  Do they only activate if Manchu requirement fails, or do they automatically jump in in 08-45?  Would be something you'll want to consider, because you're coming up on 08-45 sooner than later...
a.  If Soviets do jump in automatically, he might pre-empt them by attacking them, and killing their AF on the ground.  I mean, if Soviets are gonna attack next week ANYWAY, why not bloody their eye first?  Maye disperse the air units?  (you can move Soviet aircraft, just not give them a mission).
b.  If you're suddenly going to get a "Red Hoarde" at your disposal, it bears consideration in your planning.
c.  Or you could also consider, if Soviets DON'T auto-activate, to "encourage" them.  Just throwing this out (could be completely hair-brained).  Maybe consider a landing on Korea to disrupt the Manchu garrison (fail it), thus bringing in the Soviets?

Nice to "see you again" Feinder.

Good questions and I have thought about it already.

a) I have been thinking about this and I will actually start moving soviet airforce to the rear bases.

There is no indication yet that Dave is planning anything here BUT he is too good of an opponent to overlook.

b) Definately. I do intent to be very aggressive with Soviets. Too bad that I'am unable to support these with Chinese since Dave really hammered me early on there.

Basically I need to start somekind of an offensive in China in spring of 1945... no matter whether I do succeed but I need stretch him in order to get result in Russia.

I did also bomb a lot of HI centers in Manchuko area already. (Don't know whether it did any good though???)

c) I would love land in Korea BUT I'am also streched currently. He does hold Marianas, Marcus Island (Allthough bombed to dust) and Marshalls.

Dave also has a lot of transport shipping and troops in Truk, Kwaleijin, Luzon, Singapore, etc. So, he can launch an counterstrike if I get too sloppy.

Meaning that my supply lines are not safe.

What I intend to do though:

1) Move some 2E Liberators + Mustangs into Bonin's and start bombing the home Islands more.

2) I will intend to do some carrier raids in the spring of 1945 too. Either againts Luzon or Japan... also really need find out where the rest of his fleet is at the moment.

3) I need to start killing his aircraft factories and also pilots on air to air battles. Basically win the battle of attrition.

This hopefully will give me an air supremacy in Russia too in longrun... and also destroy as much of his industry as possible.

4) Resume the Burma offensive as soon as possible.

5) As said try to do something useful in China. (It is looking bad at the moment)

6) Also need look into what base I should also capture near Japan so I can get an decent bomber airfield even closer than Iwo and Bonin is. (Naha, Okinawa or some other mildly guarded base)

7) Try to grab some bases in Southern Pacific too in the spring. Allthough this will definately not be my main thrust.

Those are basic guidelines for my offensives... maybe somewhat optimistic.

...that pretty much concludes the Mitsubishi factories at Tokyo. Also a lot of fires are raging through Osaka but these Manpower assaults are not that effective when considering victory points. (or at least that is my opinion)

As Feinder suggested before Dave might try strike againts USSR before it becomes active. There seems to be quite a few squadrons of fighters/bombers near border. I will start withdrawing Soviet fighters to the rear bases for time being.

Also the I'am still trying wipe out the remaining enemy troops at Bonin.

I will also send few Allied CV's into Pearl Harbour for their upgrades and repairs.

I did also look at the situation in China. I might try to launch an offensive in the South. It seems that has less troops garrisoning the enemy bases.

In Burma RAF continues to be agressive. Here is the whole combat replay from last turn. (I wohn't included in most of my reports)

Dave still has more than 100 000 men at Mandalay. Also he has substantial reserves near Rangoon. This means I cannot move more troops into Burma or India will become vulnerable. (I guess that is his idea)

The ground offensive will resume towards Mandalay once my troops are rested and refitted.

Sheesh, remind me to keep my ships in some faraway and obscure port in '45 as Japan.

Yeah, lets say in New York[:'(]

Aztez, noticed that some of kamis get through your CV CAP - is Erstad using their max altitude or it is forbidden by house rules...

I'm thinking what to do in my game because Andy and I have house rule no kamis on max celing and i'm not sure if i will use them at all (since PDU is on i can convert oscars to new figher types and using them would activate placing more corsairs on enemy cvs (another house rule)!
