Patch

I have downloaded the patch multiple times but the game never seems to upgrade to the new version. I double click the file after it opens and the the screen to download it comes up and asks for my name and serial number but my game still says its the 5.0.0 version. Can someone explain?

The problem is that the patch puts a new executable in your directory, so you'll have to edit your Starshatter shortcut on the desktop from "...\Starshatter-TheGatheringStorm.exe" to "...\Stars.exe".  No mention of this is made in the patch documentation or the Starshatter website, which leads me to believe the patch was released without any testing...

Oh I saw that. I went into the file from "my computer" and opened the file just called stars but it was still the 5.0.0 version. I've downloaded this patch many times from different sites. I'll try again though.

Nevermind. It works that way. I don't know why I didn't notice that the first few times I tried that. Thanks.
