Doh! Should have realised a lot of people don't have the extensions showing, glad you got it sorted, Undercover man[:)]

I have no idea. On mine, it's right there on the main menu. In addition to load game, save game, settings and so on there's an option for Bman's usability settings (or something to that effect).

Thanks for at least acknowledging my problem, Mister B. I'm not sure why I'm not seeing it either. Maybe I need to delete the whole Data directory and copy my backup Data directory back there and try it again. I'm sure it's been said elsewhere on the forum, but it'd be nice if someone would write something to do all of this for you to make the installation a bit easier. :)

Ok, after a reinstallation of my data directory and all the pertinent files, success! I now can see the BMan's Usability Settings on the menu. I think what my problem was, was not renaming the blank.xbig file to system.xbg. <grin>

You know, it's funny you say that, because I was thinking about it this morning, and I thought that may have been your problem. You beat me to the solution. :)

Also, Bman, if you're reading this, good job on a fabulous mod! Thanks so much, the game is greatly improved by it.

For what its worth, you can execute the RUN function from the start menu, and drag the files into it with an "e" separating them.....

All this is fine but what do I do with the files I downloaded for the Bman mod itself? Where do I put them? What I'm reading here is like "Do A then c then 2 then 5 then F" and there is no logical flow I can follow with these sentence fragments. Does one really have to read 5 different threads to pick up on how to make a game mod work? I appreciate those trying to help but there is as yet not one simple description I've seen on how to download and implement this mod.

Hi Gunnergoz - you're the same who is in CM modding ?And you're lost with a paltry set of modded files ? :) Just kidding...
Well, simplest thing you've to do is to go to the UFO-ET site forum, and get the latest Frankenmod : this one is just a combo Bman+Moriarty but it comes as a simplissimest system.xbg file that you just have replace the original one in data folder !
Enjoy ! ;)

Thanks PDiFolco, your help is appreciated. And grass mods were nothing compared to this...stuff. We had all sorts of nice mod managers for CM also, which this crowd could do well to imitate.

The game's only been out a month, give them some time. There's also a lot more to mod than just bmps so it's a bit more complicated. How long was CM out for before a mod manager came out?
