Ghost unit -need advice

Way back when the universe was young, I lost 2or was it 3 divisions to the disapearing unit bug.
One of the divisions that vanished was the imperial, in the hex just north of Rangoon.
That was nearly 2 years ago
Now its suddenly "back", well the troops are ghosting at madang!
Poor tabpub spotted just the base force there, and landed appropiate troops, now he seems to be battling 20000 ghosts as well.

The problem is, bombing does not appear to hurt the ghosts, and I cannot issue them orders iether.
Any suggestions?
Need help removing the division if we can, or, if thats not possible, any ideas on how to make things fairer for tabpub.
Would pulling out the base force and giving the base help?

Anything I can check to confirm if bombing is hurting the ghosts?

I had the Port Moresby Bde ghost. One fragment appeared in Brisbane, the other in San Fran. I was able to load them onto transports just fine. So I sailed them PH, and tried recombining them. The recombine worked, but still no parent (so I'm stuck with a fragment). Because the fragment was disrupting other stuff in the hex, I picked it up and dumped it at a dot hex by it self. There it hurts no one, and annoys me no longer.

Evacing your Div in the middle of a war zone will probably be "challenging" however. Unless your opponent can afford to not set his bombers on NavAtk, while you move in some transports. But they -should- load fine.

I wonder your issue is at all related to the ghost units that appear in Chungking, when it falls. Maybe a similar logic issue. Might check the threads about ghosts in Chungking, and try some of what they did (I think they just ignored them frankly).
