Heavy air attack from Dutch air forces vs. CVE Hosho... She steaming alone heading to Batavia. Attacked by 15 dutch level bombers Martin 139 and 6 OS2U-3 Kingfisher from Asiatic Fleet, 10 bombs hit over her deck. Any aircraft was lost.

New Zealand South Pac Cruiser Sqdn escorted by 2 USNavy FD suprise a transport TF off Lunga (Guadalcanal) getting several gun hits and 1 torpedo on AK Asusan Maru.
After naval combat, Allied TF was attacked by air with 3 G4M1 from Rabaul (bombs miss).
TF recalled to Brisbane.

After ground attack over forward enemy troops at Burma Front... I wanted to destroy the Rangoon airfield... with 2 strong atacks from Mandalay and Dacca. Confidence in past damage would not let to fly enemy fighters. But Japanese fighters could flew!
76 aircrafts have been destroyed in the two air attacks!. The enemy lost today only 31.
It´s a bad day for Allieds.
