Vary Setup

I have run a few test and it seems vary setup has not been fixed in the latest patch. I was broken when 1.804 came out.

You might want to give a few more details... there have been MANY complaints of "it's broken" for various aspects of the game that have not proved to be valid.

Saying "it's broken" usually gets ignored unless you say HOW it is broken.

I assume you are using 'Historical First Turn' and scenario 8 or 15 ??

It has always worked for me - but remember it only applys to scenarios 8 & 15.  (I pulled "outfield" in my current game - fun.)

Scenario 15 is the only one I play so I can not comment on Scenario 8. The settings I have on are "Vary Setup" and "December 7th Surprise". Of the 4 possible possible openings only December 7th surprise occurs. Operations Outfield, Infield and Home Plate do not occur.

You must have 'Historical first Turn' ON - see section 17.1.7 of the manual

I do have historical first turn turned on.

Then either you are extremely unlucky with the die roll - or its sort of 'broken' [:(]

A number of people reported it broken when 1.804 came out.

I have had the same problem with the Vary Setup option. I have pretty much gotten every option except the one where the carriers remain in port. Either I am really unlucky or there is a problem with this portion of the game.
