TF Size

Post by hbrsvl »

Hi-Is there a number of ships in a TF ( such as 15 in WITP) above which certain penalties incur? If so , what is the magic number? Thanks. Hugh Browne.

I could be wrong but . . . over 15 there are penalties to aa fire but only to those ships above the limit. Having too many ships doesn't hurt, it's just inefficient. The more ships in a sctf, the less likely they will, on an individualy basis, engage.

If I can remember correctly. The bigger the TF the easier it can be detected.
There was a thread on the same similar question, where it was discussed.
But don't quote me on that.[;)]

The bigger the TF the easier it is to find and if it's a CVTF the fewer planes will fly due to penalties. It's better to group TFs together by the follow do not retire commands and put 3 CVs in each TF, 2 for the Allies. Keep the CVLs in a different TF if you don't want them all sunk.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.
