I didn't know until recently that WITP modeled Spanish-Armada era fire ships: [:D]

It's a burning and/or sunk fleet! [:D] Sigint told me, correctly, that there was only 1 IJ base force defending Gasmata. So I decided to take it on the cheap with essentially no pre-invasion bombing.

I did take it on the first assault but that d@mn base force scored a ton of hits against my shipping. Lesson learned...

How in the heck did you get over 100% fire?  That's one heck of a conflagration.

Looks like that while it is impossible to start a fire storm in a city, it is possible to do it on a ship! [:D]

It's an Allied ship so it will probably survive anyway. [;)]

Are fireships as useless in WITP as they are in my Napoleonic naval wargames?[:D]

I wouldn't like to be a member of the 3 NZ Cav Bde on AP Koolama - 100% fire has got to be bad for one's health. That ship is anything but 'Kool' [:D]

That column is not a percentage like the others. It is an actual count of how many fires are currently burning on the ship.

Your flaw was not taking a PT boat along. That one PT boat would of absorbed 85 shell hits[:D]

if so (and i am not convinced it isn't a glitch) - it is a clear departure from predecessor games where fires could actually INCREASE - to 100. This is the first time i've seen or heard about a ship with fires >100, which makes me suspect a glitch.

Has anyone alse ever seen fires >100 on a ship [&:] (no, cities do NOT count... [:-] [:D])

Don't worry. The fires on SC-705 and SC-704 will probably all go out next turn.........when the ships sink.[:D]

the fire range has always been 0-49

Don't think it was changed. Looks like a glitch of some sort.
