Likewise.

What IS this 'extended download service' DR are trying to rip us off for? I thought there was no problem re-downloading from Matrix - I've certainly done it before.

Hi Hertston

Well in the past it was not big problem but now volume has picked up a lot and it is causing an issue. Remember this is not FORCED on you (No Rip Off) its a service for those who don't want to burn there serial number and game on to a CD. Also if you order a Game On Demand you don't need this either.

Then wait and order the physical version [;)] which will be up for sale tomorrow (as Dave mentioned). We will announce this seperately.

Ignore it, you do not need it.

Edited, in view of Marc's comments above. Confused at David's comments above.

it's a bit cheeky for DR to add extended download service as a default purchase though - the order has to be deliberatedly updated for it to be removed - someone in an excited hurry would not always notice...

Clear and concise, Marc, but you may not have made any friends at DR!! [;)]

It should not be default. I will have Erik check into this.

On a sidenote. I purchased lastest MS Office package via DR a few days ago (yes they also handle the shop for Microsoft [;)]) and had to update the purchase myself in order to not have the extended download service.

I just wanted to say "THANKS" to everyone on the Matrix CS Team who spent endless hours, days, months on this project.

My wallets open but I'm waiting for the Box Version!
Thx,

Me too. Waiting on the box version...I like my manuals

I've been looking forward to this. Gutted I sold my copy years ago of Western Front...regretted it almost immediately.

Thanks to all involved

I have all of my old manuals.  I just know myself too well.  Disc doesn't get labeled and is lost amidst a sea of similar CDRs.

Sorry folks, we are delaying the physical release (which was going to happen today) until we get a good handle on what happened to exclude some files and the Vista targeting fix from the final build. This will likely delay the physical release by a few days, but better to have it corrected and late than early and needing an immediate update.

Erm...that's fair enough...but the physical copy wasn't going to be ready for 2 weeks anyways.

I'm not desparate for the physical copy per se, but I do need the option there so I can download the game, otherwise I will miss out on my manual.

Are you not going to put the option up so people can buy it, download it and wait for the physical copy? Seems daft you aren't doing that when the DD version is still up for sale, which I am sorely tempted to buy

Bugger....I don't think I want to wait for the manual....I've been watching this all week and, more so, today waiting to see the boxed version available.

I think I'll just have to lose the manual and download the bugger.

There are plenty of scenarios without The Fall of the Reich and I don't have Vista!!!!

Hmmmm...what to do

Maybe I'll go and have a cold shower!

Unfortunately, the way the store works, we can't put it up for sale unless we're sure that the file is the one we want burned on the physical CDs. Right now, we're not sure of that, so we have to wait. Otherwise, we'd literally have to cancel hundreds of orders a week from now and re-order them with the new product version if we changed the installer.

NP Erik.

I'm away playing that other blinder, COTA.

I'll wait till this is ready, as I really do want the manual (complained often enough about games not having one!!)

Cheers
