Wow!...I can't believe it..

Empires in Arms is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. Empires in Arms is a seven player game of grand strategy set during the Napoleonic period of 1805-1815. The unit scale is corps level with full diplomatic options

For the past few days, I've been lamenting the fact that nobody has created an EIA-like game. I'm amazed that it wasn't AH, but I'm glad to se you have.

Keep up the good works, and I'll keep my eyes glued to this site!

That does raise an interesting question.
Why aren't the big companies that originally made these games making them for the computer?

I've heard that many have approached AH to make the game and been turned down. I believe AH prefers to stick to cardboard and paper;)
Many companies have avoided Napoleonics simply because it's not a genre that brings a lot of dollars to their coffers.

First what is the status of AH? Wasn't they merged with Hasbro and most of the strategic games discontinued?

Anyway I was in touch with AH development team a few years ago and they had no own plans for making EiA then, but would distribute (against small royalties to the development team) if the game was finished and satisfactory. I guess the Matrix setup seams better, supporting development rather than demanding finished products.
