ny59giants:  Yeah. Definately BUT a lot of things need to happen first.
 
A) I need destroy bulk of his navy and airforce. Dave has a lot of AP's lying around South Pacific, Philippines, Singapore and DEI. I would hate to see him start some crazy amphibitous offensive.
 
B) Secure few bases more for my LBA's so I can isolate Japan compltetely. Dave has still strong forces all around.
 
This kind of an huge operation cannot commence before late 1945 though.

Pauk: Actually very good question. I would assume he is flying Kamikazes at max ceiling just as PzB is doing. I will ask what his trick is when using Kamikazes. (He has hit quite a few ships with them)
 
Dave has used his fighters at defensive missions. I guess that gives somekind of bonus to his planes. It has been very fierce battles all around.

Operation Wipeot:
 
 
This operation is should reach its target next turn. I will launch an large airstrike againts enemy ships anchored at Manila. Last turn around 400 ships were reported.
 
It seems that Dave has a lot of fighters stationed at Luzon so I do expect heavy resistance.
 
US B29's will conduct an unescorted airfield bombing run againts Manila in support. I do expect heavy lossess but these are affortable.
 
 
Operation Whale
 
 
I have dispatched some allied ground units towards New Caledonia. These troops should land within few days time. This operation does not have air support so it might all go down the toilet.

Worth the gamble though.
 
Elsewhere allied troops are making steady progress towards Mandalay.

A couple of positive things to mention...

Pauk wondered how Dave got his Kamikazes through. Well, he is using the same method as PzB in his game vs Andy. This is ok though since we do not have any houserules regarding maxium ceiling Kamikaze strikes.

I don't have the turn back BUT dave did email me and said that he lost more than 700 aircraft last turn. So, I gather the Manila offensive did quite a lot of damage.

...and the biggest positive news is that we had new arrival to our household. A newborn daughter saw the light this morning.... [:)][:)][:)] ...this leaves me severely handicapped since now I got an "better half" + 2 young daughters.... [:D][:D][:D][:)]

I'am keeping my CV's near Luzon for at least 3 days. This ought to cause Dave a lot of harm and headache. I do expect heavy resistance and some Kamikaze hits too. Just need to be aggressive here.
 
Allied troops should also reach Mandalay next turn. I'am considering moving B29's into India to support these operations.

At the moment LRCAP is not an option for CV cover since I'am forced to operate way too far ahead.

I'am hauling supplies into Iwo Jima and Bonin's for the next assault. Currently looking for an invasion possibilities either at Naha or Okinawa.

The base needs to be in range of Home Islands so I can deploy my 2E bombers and some short ranged fighters into action too. Also to isolate the Japan totally.

...but supplies first [:)] ...allied CV's, troops and late war assaults will eat a lot of supplies... could not imagine this before I started. [8|]

Good again. I swapped some fighter squadrons around by placing P51 Mustangs into Iwo Jima. This will give my 4E better escorted range when striking againts Home Islands.
 
Allied CV's have also headed out to sea. They are ordered to strike againts Nagasaki airfield and harbour. It seems Dave has moved some 50 AP's in there plus have seizeable fighter cover put in place. I want to cut off whole Japan and hopefully this will serve as message.
 
Dave has hurt quite a few CV,CVL and CVE's with his Kamikazes and naval strikes. These ships will return into Pearl Harbour for repairs. Thankfully I can replace these ships with my reinforcements and reserves.
 
The combined allied assault at Mandalay was unsuccesfull. The bright side is that enemy losses were higher than mine so I will continue to bomb the place with LBA's. (Actually some B29's will join up the action soon.) These 3 squadrons will be placed under SEAC command.

Next turn Allied LBA's will hit Hiroshima port. Hopefully the remaining vessels are still anchored there. At least this confirms that combined fleet is still at Japan and not in Malaya.

As you can see this is massive push now at Burma. Allied transport aircraft are flying a lot of supplies into Myithkina. (The piles are building up nicely)
 
US B29's stationed at China will bomb resource centers at Mukhden next turn. I need start burning his supplies here before the Russians enter the war.
