There is a Vista issue currently with the game that will stop it from running correctly both Mr. Tiller and the Campaign Series Legion are working on it.  We hope to have answer soon.

Cencus, my wife just let me buy Campaign Series an hour ago. I have already noticed a problem sometimes in FOF and once already in Campaign series. Every now and then a warning pops up saying the app is not responding, with both games I simply select wait for program to respond and then press the widnows key to minimize. Keep pressing wait on the warning if it keeps comming up. So far neither game has crashed, but I have had to wait a couple of minutes for the games to start behaving nicely. This sometimes happens with other apps that came with VISTA, so it is not just endemic to Matrix games. But the nice thing I keep pointing out is that unlike the older OS's the entire system does not crash, the app might, if you do not have a little patience to let it start working. I just beta tested the thing for over a year and I am not sure what causes it, but I sure let MS know every time it does.

Good luck

Another suggestion with JTCS for Vista is try running the program in Windows XP compatibility mode. We know the game works on XP, so maybe it would run under Vista in compatibility mode.

Thanks,

Yes, yes vadersson that works much easier than my sitting and waiting for 60-90 seconds. I should not give advice at 3:14 am. Good catch.

Is this issue do to with attacking armored targets? I'm running Vista and in all scenarios tried, can not attack any armored unit. Just comes up with beyond range even when in adjoining hex! Is this a known issue?

With all this going on it kind of makes you want to stick with XP.  Vista sounds a nightmare.

That's exactly what I have concluded.

I never jump on a new OS on the outset. I like the bugs to be worked out first. I waited on XP and I will wait on Vista.

The world needs dare devil early adopters as well as cautious skeptics.  If we were all the former, things would break down entirely.  But if we were all the latter, the world would still be in the dark ages.  [;)]

I like others to get it first, complain about the issues and get it fixed by MS before I dive in.
