As much as I enjoy commanding carriers, there is not much to this. Played the orginal and didnt like it as much as Carrier War. To much candy not enough thinking. Uncommon Valor is the one. Shame they didn't extend that into the later war yrs.

Uncommon Valor was a perfect blend. Enough tactics and stratery but not to complicated.  War in the Pacific is to involved.

Soooo, have you bought this version or still b'n about the old game?

I purchased this version as soon as it became available via download. I just feel some features would make it a much more enjoyable game. Longer missions, be able to add or remove ships from task groups, are two items that I would like to see.

Just got the game. Is there a scenario editor? Will there be a scenario editor? I do love this game. Opening the pdf manual was a gas. [:)]

Yes there is an editor and they stated a possible tutorial for using it.
