scenario's list

Post by balenami1291 »

I'm playing tactical wargame since a lot of year but it'd only 5 minutes I'm playing at CS.

I readed the game have units fron 20 countries but when I go to WF searcing italian troops.
(El alamein, Tobuck etc etc)

The scenario's list doesn't tell how countries are involved in the scenario.

I'm thinking to the SPWAW. it simply tells you Who and what it does.
EG: Italian Delay Vs British adavance.

There are over 300 scenarios: Please help us to easily play favourite countries!!

Excuse for my bad english

EG: Italian Delay Vs British adavance.

There are over 300 scenarios: Please help us to easily play favourite countries!!

Here are three scenarios in West Front that utilize Italian forces:
WF Beda Fomm.scn The Thin Red Line 6-Feb-41 "SW of Beda Fomm, 100km S of Benghazi Libya: [Best played as Allied] Following the capture of Tobruk, a very successful end to phase one of Operation Compass, British General O'Connor continued to drive his formations west. While the 6th Australian Division pursued the retreating Italian 10th Army along the coast, elements of the 7th Armoured raced through the inland desert of Cyrenaica to cut the Italians off along the Gulf of Sirte. On 5 February the British advance guard, Combeforce, reached the coast southwest of Beda Fomm south of Benghazi, blocking the Italian retreat to Tripoli. Over the long afternoon Combeforce, thanks to the timely arrival of the 4th Armoured Brigade, managed to beat back the first attempts to break through. But early on the 6th the outnumbered thin red line of British troopers faced a determined attack by the Italian 63rd Infantry Division and tanks from Armored Brigade Babini. It was the beginning of the end for the Italian 10th Army and the first British offensive in North Africa. "
WF Gubi.scn Ariete: The Ram 19-Nov-41 "Bir el Gubi, 60km S of Tobruk, Libya: [Best played as Allied] Following the start of Operation Crusader, Gott's 7th Armoured Division started probing to the northwest from its starting position around Gabr Saleh. The first formation to make contact was the novice 22nd Armoured Brigade, which stumbled on a group of Italian tanks southeast of Bir el Gubi in the open desert south of Tobruk. In spite of warnings from the experienced armored car commanders of the 11th Hussars, the brigade attacked without waiting for artillery or infantry support. The Italian armor, from the 132nd 'Ariete' Armored Division, beat a hasty retreat closely followed by the eager British who had heard stories of how easily the Italians could be expected to crumble. In open formation to protect against air attack, the new crusader regiments charged across the desert individually, each determined to bag its quota of Italian sheep. They soon discovered that instead of panicked sheep they were facing an experienced and battle-tested Ram."
WF Kidney Ridge.scn Kidney Ridge 27-Oct-42 "'Snipe' Position, 20km W of El Alamein, Egypt [Best played against Human opponent] After the initial British breakthrough at El Alamein elements of the 7th Motorized Brigade were sent forward during the night of 26-27 October to begin exploiting the initial success. These units were to be supported the next morning by elements of the 24th Armoured Brigade. The objective of the 7th Motorized was a feature known as 'Kidney Ridge' due to its distinctive shape on British war maps. In reality, this feature was a depression that was so hard to find as to be almost indistinguishable. During the night march the men of The Rifle Brigade reached the 'Snipe' position and promptly dug their numerous 6pdr anti-tank guns into the soft sand and scrub. By the light of dawn, they found themselves a bit to the southwest of 'Kidney Ridge' and dangerously exposed. Not far to the north they could see a German panzer formation forming for an attack; to the south a battalion of the Italian Littoria Armored Division. The Axis battlegroups had been preparing to advance east to blunt the breakthrough of XXX Corps, but now found they needed to eliminate this dangerous salient that had been established in their midst during the night. To make matters worse for the Britishers, they began to receive 'friendly fire' from Shermans of the 24th Armoured Brigade!"

Hope that helps
Take care and good luck
