Popularity?

Is it me, or does this title seem to be very popular? It looks like it is generating a lot more traffic than BattleFront did/is. BattleFront is an excellent game system, but will die out because of the lack of scenario's. I hope that more scenario's will be forthcoming for CAW, especially when it seems that two of the supplied ones are for training purposes...

Carriers At War is a game that has been out for a long time, and has had quite a following. It went through quite a few commercial versions in the '90's (CAW, CAW II, CAW Expansion Kit, the Complete Carriers At War - which included every carrier battle of WW2, IIRC). This new version has been anxiously awaited by many people who enjoyed the old DOS version, so it will attract a lot of interest.

Thanks to UV and WITP, Matrix boards are unofficial meeting place for Pacific war and carrier war afficionados so obviously a game like this will draw interest [8D]

As possible expansions/upgrades, I would even suggest:

1) A random scenario creator- (user can input size of TFs, size of map, year of battle, etc)

2) Campaign System- Have a campaign comprising up to 5-10 scenarios where losses, experience, buying new units/ships/planes, etc are carried over from scenario to scenario.

I first played CAW nearly 24 years ago when it was released for the C-64. Yes, it has been a consistent winner.
