Are the Midways in?

Historically, the Midway was commissioned 10 September 1945; which means that in any scenario involving a hypothetical invasion of Japan in the fall of 1945 has a possibility of the Midway being involved....[:D]

It's unlikely Midway would have been sent to the Pacific Fleet during Fall 1945. Her shakedown cruise wasn't completed until early January 1946 and she really wasn't fully operational until March 1946. So... the earliest she could possibly arrive in the Pacific would have been late Spring 1946.
