Catalina's search

Post by Rick Bradley »

I played for the first time at Coral Sea with the AI controlling the land bases. I noticed that the Cats take off at first light as the rest of the search aircraft do. Were they at least not capable of taking off before light to get a good jump on their search patterns? Later in the war they were used as night attack craft painted all black lugging a torpedo under each wing. The Black Cats came out at night.

Actually, they take off before first light. I see them in the air at 05:05 with Dawn not till 06:00.
