MY impressions

Post by fabforrest »

just wanted my own thread...that said.

i think this is a faithful recreation of the original, which makes me happy. i thought that game was near perfect. if you didn't like the original, you won't like this.

a big step up in graphics and interface (which i am still getting used to).

i find i am still making some of the same learning mistakes (got to give the invasion force in coral sea some forward speed...no knots, no move, dummy).

i experience the same anxiety searching for the enemy i know is out there and dreading the sighting of an enemy search plane.

i find i still have the same pilots that cannot seem to distinguish a DD from a CV (resulting in much yelling at screen).

i still prefer to play the japanese.

i am not yet ready for multiplayer, but when i am i will be happy to take up the IJN. is there a forum for opponent locating?

I KNOW that feeling.

My pilots are just as dumb.

Why the Japanese? [&:]

why the IJN?, cuz they lost i guess, and mostly because of bad strategic/tactical decisions.  i can fix that!  [:)]

i just sank all the USN carriers at midway and lost only one myself.  i am rounding into form.

i usually pick the germans in european theater games too (i always played the germans in the V for Victory games).

I was just curious. I will end up playing as the Japanese side after I whip them first.

This was answered in another thread already. We still have some problems with the forum and won't ad them before those are sorted out by the web guys.
