One of the Matrix beta testers confirmed that the Allied fleet icons/fleets for the Turning Tide and Hard Road scenarios disappear after these scenarios are saved in another slot. See my Disappearing fleets/icons post in the "bugs reported' section at the top of the UV forum.

Apparently it doesn't matter what version of UV you're using as these two scenarios are the only ones having problems with the Campaign Editor.

Pity!

Too bad.

On the other hand, that's probably why I haven't had any problems editing scenarios #17 and 19 (the longest ones). At least the changes are saved. [:)]

And it's also good to know which scenarios to stay away from.

It's not a perfect world and UV -- like any other computer sim -- isn't a perfect game, but since we paid for all these scenarios, I think we're entitled to have them work w/the Campaign Editor despite the Matrix disclaimer.

Besides, playing the Allies, Turning Tide is one of the best "long" scenarios -- "long" in the sense that you can send ships back to Pearl -- for beginners since the carrier balance w/the IJN is good from the very start. Green hell is also good, but the number of IJN CVs/CVLs is challenging from the get go.

But thanks for the scenario notes copy/paste info; if Matrix can fix this latest glitch, I'm going to reconstruct my scenarios to better reflect the historical/tactical situation. Otherwise, I'd be playing Star Wars "sims."

Joe, I'm with you one this one. After all the patches, we should expect all the scenarios to work (edited).

Hmmm.... since both scenarios are so similar, then it appears that they may both have the same problem. Would be interesting to know what they are "missing".

I wonder if there is a file that is not being saved along with all the other data, that is preventing the new data from being saved.

It would be interesting to count all the files that belong to scenario 7 in the SCEN folder for example, make some changes in the scenario, then save it, and see if the new scenario has the same number of files under the new name and slot number.
