Pacific Emphasis

Gary Grigsby’s World at War is back with a whole new set of features. World at War: A World Divided still gives complete control over the production, research and military strategy for your side, but in this new updated version you’ll also be able to bring spies into the mix as well as neutral country diplomacy, variable political events and much more. Perhaps the largest item is the ability to play a special Soviet vs. Allies scenario that occurs after the end of World War II.

Pacific Emphasis

Post by ChuckK »

Hi all,

I just finished reading the Wargamer review of this game and it hinted that there were settings to place the focus of play on the Pacific Theatre of Operations, is this correct? Is so could I get a run down on how this plays out in the game?

Thanks!

Ah, I think I see the problem.  There are two screen captures in the Wargamer review side-by-side with the captions reversed.  One is a picture of a battle in the Coral sea with the caption, list of scenarios.  The picture next to it is the scenario selection screen with the caption, war in the Pacific.

Oh well, I'm off to play the demo of the original WaW anyways, I've been meaning to get to this game for a long while.

The game is worth the money, I greatly encourage you to get it. Once you get over with the mechanics of it, jump into pbem games, that's where the real fun begins. [:)]

Also WAW has been improved a great deal by its sequel AWD.

Aye rjh, I know it's an outstanding game.  I meant to play WaW when it cam out in '05 and never got to it.  Now AWD is out and I better go download it before I blink and it's suddenly '09 and I'm mumbling about never getting to it too.    [:D]
