Italy 43 to 45 Campaign

Post by STIENER »

HI
i was wondering if someone can help me with a problem im having in the italy campaign........its turn 5 and i am the allies and have landed at Salerno on turn 1........it took me 3 turns to figure out that the town of salerno was the allied supply pt. i took the town on turn 3 and on turn 4 i still have no supply.........what gives? is there a zone of control issue? i only control the town and 1 hex beside the town [ plus 4 or 5 other invasion hexes]
i missed useing the theatre options button to say salaeno was my invasion choice and now there is no button........i assume the PC figured out i was landing in salerno.
any ideas gentlemen? [:(]

If memory serves not picking an invasion site defaults to Salaerno, where an SP should deploy, but, if memory serves, that SP does nto deploy properly. Someone should fix that, and post the fixed scenario. Does anyone know the author?

As far as I know, you're in a heap of trouble, as I don't think you get one. If it's a PBEM game, you may want to request a restart with your opponent, as this is a pretty major glitch.

I'm not sure. If you would like to restart with your opponent I can quickly fix the scenario and email it to you.

Hmmm....I've just opened up the version of the scenario that I already have on my compouter to find that it already works just fine...
A) Try opening the scenario hot seat and see if, when you activate the Salerno TO, the Allied SP deploys. If it does than you simply missed the TO and...you're boned. You could still ask for a restart, but your case is not nearly as good. [:D]
OR...
B) I already modified the version sitting on my hard disk and fixed it...

Sent. You have to capture the city to see if the TO worked and deployed an SP there for you.
