Two questions

Post by ijontichy »

1) Do the Allies ever invade Italy, up through the "soft under-belly of Europe"?
2) Do the casualty figures represent actual men, tanks, boats, and planes lost or something else?

1. I have left the "Soft underbelly of Europe" very soft and there is no sign of the Allies in mid 1942
2. I'm not sure...

As for point 1, I'm fine with that. I'm playing Axis and if they attacked just now, it would be game over very quickly. Most of my efforts are currently trying to halt the red army. If they opened another front (and they could open the Western front as well), then I'd be buggered.

I ahve to say, I'm glad I'm not playing Axis in PBEM...because the Axis, probably historically, just do not have the resources for the war. Looking at the map, those are bigggggggggggggggggg fronts the Axis have to defend against some biggggggggggggggggggggg armies!
