Amphibious invasions

Post by Raindem »

A friendly disagreement arose in a game I'm in and I'd like to know the community's opinion. Units at sea can disembark and move onto land in just about any hex. It doesn't have to be a port. You have to be at sea for a turn (not move the turn of debarkation)and of course you can't evacuate if things go bad.

Your opinion please...

1) This is normal game mechanics and allowable unless specifically prohibited by a house rule or mutual agreement
2) This is considered cheating and should be off-limits unless the scenario briefing specifically allows it
3) This is a bug and should be avoided until fixed
4) I didn't know you could do this!

I had started reading that thread but it looked like it was dealing just with transport point trickery. Starting around Post #14 is the discussion regarding the obscure feature/possible bug.

Thanks for pointing it out. Mods can delete this thread if you want as it appears to be a duplicate post.

You can read some of my thoughts over at Gamesquad where there is a lively thread on the subject.
