Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

Well, I still find this a great game against Humans and I normally dislike Human play in most games.
 
The AI in the game is asleep of thar there is no doubt.  It seems adequate as long as you do not approach the Med.  It is my opinion you will find the AI resting on one of the nude beaches in southern France or Italy.  Given where I believe he is I suspect it will be very difficult to convience him to go fight in Egypt.
 
I have a couple of PBEM games great fun wish I could see a playback so I had some clue what is happening.  But the Axis seems to have a blackout for the news reports from the front.
 
Looking forward to trying TCP/IP.  Got a couple people considering it and it will be fun to play a few hours heads up.
