Buffer Overrun Detected?????

I downloaded and installed without problems. The first time I started the game everything was fine.

Then the second time (and all after that) I get this message:

Buffer Overrun Detected

"A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated."

Then the program shuts down.

If I try to skip the videos in the beginning I get the message at once, If I wait I am able to see the two first videos and then I get the message.

Any ideas what to do?

I run it in Windows XP.

Have you downloaded and installed the vid codec from CSO downloads?
