Different than TOAW-COW

Post by Wannabe »

I have spent hours on a TOE and map for a hypo for the US invading Iran instead of Iraq, 2003. But I am working in COW. Is buying TOAW-III worth the $50? I understand it has no new database. Anyone?

Any good maps of Iran at 10 km/hex out there?
We sure liberated the hell outta this place.

Yes.

There is no new database, but BioEd can be used to edit the DB, and you don't have to have a different .exe for each scenario that used BioEd.
To repeat history in a game is to be predictable.

Wannabe,
TOAW III has a bunch of fixes and enhancements, especially the AI. I think it's worth it, but I'm biased<g>.

While it doesn't have any new equipment databases out of the box, You can easily create and modify equipment and distribute it with the scenario file. I think I've seen some Modern.exe based equipment files floating around which would help with an Iran 2003 scenario, or you can roll your own.
