PZB has commented on my lack of carriers on naval attack.....I will make sure I dont make that mistake again come on PZB I am waiting for the turn !!!

He might throw the rest of his fleet on you, so it really would be a good idea to have some torpedo bombers ready.
Now you own a base in the PI, you can spare your carrier aircraft for their real duty:
Sink those Japanese ships!

Richelieu and Wisconsin are basically untouched North Carolina is probably out of the war at 50+ sys
 
I have reorganised surface TF's out centred around Alaska, California and Maryland with strong Cruiser support and configed bombers for naval attack although most are staying on Ground Attack

My 1st reinforcement Groups will be a Sqn of Mustangs and 2 Groups of P38's to provide Kami duty I will then bring in FB's and Mediums to keep PZB on the run

Full report to follow tonight the gist is PZB came back with surface TF's but Halsey that stupid over aggressive SOB reacted with all of my Flett Carriers 180 miles south chasing taiho leaving my landing grounds uncovered and the CVE's of my Replenishment TF were mauled hard.

I Really really really hate the reaction move especially when it is so dammed stupid a landing ground that is under threat from an armada of LBA a flleet under strict orders to stay and guard the vulnerable landing and what does my best Admiral do he and the fleet carriers with my best fighter pilots go haring off south after a single Carrier.

Grrrrr ok I have calmed down it doesn't look to bad a few ships sunk a few more dinged up but as per the post I have 8 BB's and 5 CV's approaching the end of refit at Pearl. with a further 6 CV's and 1 CVL in the 20 - 30 sys range.

I am going to have to take this night air threat more seriously I have 24 F6F's on night CAP and a further 16 Black Widows I think I will need to bring Big E back from the West Coast as she has 70 NF Hellcats loaded for night air CAP.
 
The Corsair Casualties hurt but I still have 100 of them in the pool (F4U1D's) lots of F4U's but no squadrons to use them.
 
Hellcat pool is empty again.
 
BUT over 50% of my fleet carriers are at Pearl uncommitted so I have reserves to throw into the fight when the time is right.
 
I am assembling a follow in convoy at Marcus which will escort another 1m tonnes of munitions and fuel plus Arty and more Seabees
 
Northern Luzon is going to become a real thorn in the japanese side before I am done.
 
I will mass every Arty Regt I can find and send them to Manila...
 
I am bringing in lots and lots of FB's and Medium Bombers to Luzon where I will hopefully manage to acquire several more good airfields I want to end up with 1,500 combat aircraft accross the northern bases and Clark and I will be bringing 14th AF from Bankok to control them.
 
The fall of Camranh Bay was nice as well after I eliminate the Japanese forces I wil order the army to get ready for th enext operation as the tempo MUST be maintained.

You should be able to bottle him up in Manila with only a few (2?) divisions. Then you can use LBA cover to invade Formosa.

The tentative plan is to use 1 corps to bottle up Manila (3 Divs) pull the Corps off of Iwo to replace it in my ORBAT.
 
Use XIVth Corps at Camrahn Bay to hit Batan Island and then drive towards Okinawa
 
Formosa will be bypassed as with PI there is no need for it.

At present I have 4 Armies with one more due to activate and one off map. 14th Army in Iraq has 2 Corps and 8 Divs under arms but needs a port opened to activate and deploy.

1st Aus Army (2 Div's Army Reserve 3rd Aus Div/11th Airborne Div- Camranh Bay)
I Aus Corps (4 Divs)
XIV US Corps (4 Divs)
III US Corps (4 Divs)

6th US Army (1 Div Army Reserve - Luzon driving on Clark via Southern Route)
I Amphib Corps - 3 Divs
I US Corps – 4 Divs

8th US Army (Wasile – Inactive Garrison)
V Amphib Corps (Inactive Garrison - West Pacfici/East Indian Ocean and Australasia) – 3 Divs

10th US Army (No Army reserve - Luzon driving on Lingyen via Northern Route)
IX US Corps – 3 Divs
XI US Corps – 3 Divs
X US Corps – 3 Divs
III Amphib Corps – 3 Divs

XXIV Corps – 3 Divs - Independent Iwo Jima
ABDA Corps – 7 Divs - Independent Malaya/SEA Garrison

1st US Army (Pending activates 90 Days)
Armoured Corps (Pending 90 Days - 1 Inf and 2 Armoured Divs)
NORPAC Corps (2 Divs)

My strongest army is I Aus Army but I am intending removing both the US Corps from this army in order to reactivate 8th US Army for further operations after the conquest of Camranh Bay is complete.

After Camranh Bay is over 1st Army will hand over XIV Corps and a total of 6 Divs including 1st and 3rd USMC Div to 8th US Army and its V Amphib Corps
 
ABDA Corps will pass 1 Divs back to I Aus Army leaving I Aus Army with 9 Divs in 2 Corps this force will be used for operations against India (incl the US 11th Airborne Div).
 
8th US Army with 8 Divs in XIV and V amphib Corps will commence the drive on Batan Island towards Okinawa and will take over responsability for XXIV Corps on Iwo Jima (3 Divs).
 
6th US Army will hand 2 Divs to 8th US Army leaving it with 6 Divs responsible for further operations on Luzon and the PI in 2 Corps (Possibly exchanging I Amphib Corps for an Army Corps).
 
10th US Army now with 12 Divs in 4 Corps including 4th and 5th USMC Divs becomes available for further operations the next operation has yet to be decided.
 
In Summary if we assume 8th US Army is leading the drive on Okinawa with 8 Divs where do I go with 10th US Army and its 12 Divs.
 
I could use it to reinfore 8th US Army or for other operations perhaps an invasion of HI in co operation with 1st US Army when it activates - any thoughts ?
