Game crashes when turning planet

Just got game and it worked fine. Then patched it and DL'd the latest frankenmod. Now, when I try to turn the planet with the green arrows, it crashes. Zooms in and out fine, but if i turn it any way it crashes to desktop with error message:

"Internal Error occurred-please send log file crash070527_123348.txt to technical support"

Any help or advice please?

(am going to lunch so may be a couple hrs before i check and or respond, thx)

Well the contents of the text file is in your root directory for the game. I'd suggest checking in there and your console.txt files in the same location to see what the game was trying to do when it died.
Order of install for mod...
install game...
patch game
backup data folder
install frankenmod maintaining path structure...IE...everything is uncompressed into the data folder.
test...rinse..repeat...I love frankenmod, but unfortunately due to the real world constraints, I don't think it will have new versions coming out soon. Might want to check out Bman's version 2.09

Well i did install them in that order although I did not backup my entire data folder, just the system.xbg file which is what i understood to do. here is the crashed file copied over:

any ideas??

only thing i know to do is a fresh install and see what happens...

OK, did a uninstall and manually deleted some files also. Reinstalled, patched from within the game itself instead of DL from the site and then installed Frankenmod. I ASSUME all is right. no more crashing when turning the planet. Now though I have a question, I am booting the game from the UFO_ET inside the folder but it was there before i ever put the mod on there. Is this correct? I am seeing BMans options on the option screen so I guess the mod is working.

Also, why when I extracted to the data folder, do I have a new folder labeled programs/chaos theory/((3 or 4 things in this folder). should I load from here or form the original folder? Either way I am not crashing now, but I cant play tonight due to getting up early to drive 4 hours to see the doctor. thx for the replies!

Glad to hear its working. If you install the latest frankenmod I think the parts that include version 2.05 of Bman require some additional folders under the data directory for the combat sounds IIRC. Regarding which place to run the game, I have only run from "C:\Matrix Games\UFO Extraterrestrials\autorun.exe"
according to the properties on my desktop icon.

I prefer using xbig to uncompress the system.xbg file - this will create a bunch of files under the data directory. This allows you to run multiple mods, but not all mods are compatible as I am finding [:)]
