[:D][:D] ...sabotage is always good weapon is war! [:D]

I see that Ctangus decieded to properly engage the Force Z... [;)]

He did and it promptly got away in spite of a massive hunt with Betties and Nells...

Well, obviously Billy Mitchell was wrong and the battleship still rules the waves...

Unfortunately it wasn't enough to disrupt the enemy landings and Kota Bharu fell on the 10th.

Just be careful that those ships wohn't rule BENEATH the waves! [:D][:D][:-]

Update: Japanese task force nearing Kuching attacked by slow flying British Torpedo planes. Effective antiaircraft resulted in no torpedo hits. However IHQ has rethought its strategy and has decided to await improvements to the airfields at Brunei and Jeselton before resuming the drive south.

In the eastern SRA Japanese forces have taken Manado and landed at Amboina. Amboina fall is anticipated shortly.

In Malaya - Alor Star fell after British forces abandoned their positions, Khota Bharu was also captured. However Japanese engineers are slowly moving into position to effect repairs to this vital aerodrome.

Morale on the homefront has skyrocketed after the decisive victory in the Battle off Rabaul! Censors are withholding the fact, however, that the ANZAC cruisers arrived just a little too late to prevent what appears to be the majority of the Japanese 4th ID from landing. Out of 8" and extremely low on 6" ammunition, the cruisers are forced to retire.

Elsewhere Amboina has fallen and a Japanese regiment has landed at Davao.

On Luzon the Japanese have yet to advance from their beachheads. A daring counter-attack by allied armored units takes back the resource-rich Tugag... against stiff opposition. (It had been auto-occupied by the Japanese and was empty.)

And in Malaya, Commonwealth forces route a brigade of the IJA 18th Division in the mountains east of Alor Star. General Percival is quite confident that the beachhead at Kota Bharu will soon be back in British hands.
