Downloading from AGEOD

Post by Twotribes »

Why does it take so long to do a download? I do not mean the actual process but rather the long wait to get the option to download? I am trying to get the patch and have been waiting over 3 minutes now for the option to click ok for download.

Same is true for BOA.

Try asking in AGEOD's forum. Matrix has no control over the AGEOD site.

I tried and it worked fine. Maybe it was a temporarily problem?
As far as I know does Ageod use a professional 'e-contents operator' for all their downloads (for the games they sell as well as for the free content) so there should be no bandwidth problems. [:)]

It seems when I try from here, haven't tried from their site, the file doesn't open for several minutes. The option to click ok to download or open file stays greyed out. This happened on BOA and on Civil War. Not sure what it is. It eventually allows the download.

I don't think it is the download speed which is in cause, but the fact that the OK button is greyed out for some time in the case of twotribes. It happens to me from time to time on various download but I never understood why.

Yes, thats what I mean. Once the download finally is allowed the speed is more than adequate.

You mean the download dialog the browser opens?
Which one you use? If it's Firefox just click on the grayed out button and it will change it's state. Don't know if this is a bug or feature...

I learnt something too. You are not supposed to click on a disable button to enable it [:D]

Well I understand now, the button is disabled until the window has the focus, and when you click on the disabled button, it got it. tricky.
