Im negative in cash. With building things and paying for overhead and salaries Im in the hole. How do you get extra cash?
There doesnt seem to be any money made from production and selling.
By the way what is the 2nd number below the price to build an item, it is in parenthesis.

As long as your scientists aren't researching or your engineers aren't building anything you don't pay them any salary.
Sell off buildings that aren't essential. You cannot make a profit off of building things and selling them.
You can if desperate enough sell off unresearched alien items but you won't get as much as when they're researched.
Have you sold off your researched alien items? They serve no purpose other than to make money once they have been researched.
If things are desperate enough sell off your fighters and only recover alien ships that have landed.
You also can make $400,000 by destroying an alien base.
