Stalemate

Post by Zinfandel »

Hi,
I just finished a 39 campaign as allies, against a moderate advantaged axis.
The axis of course swept through poland, france, low countries, denmark, russia, and yugo.
Now, thats all nice and fine, but when i come back and take all of europe back, and liberate half of russia before the end date of 45, and get the message 'Stalemate, both sides have conquered the same amount of capitals ' im thinking is this anywhere near historical, or realistic at all ?
I mean, are the victory conditions hear to simpley capture the most capitals that you can before end date ?
If thats the case ya might as well be playing Risk2 !!

Victory conditions in games like this are a joke anyway.  Everyone has a different opinion of what a victory would be.  This one has about as good as I have seen.

You know if you won or not and since you played the AI you cant lose because computers dont care.

That leads to a better question- does there have to be an end date?

If it is WWII yes. If it is not then pick a date because it didnt happen anyway.
