Is there a database editor available for UV?

Post by Miller »

Browsing the game on my system and there only appears to be a Scenario editor.

I would like to tinker with weapon accuracy ratings and a/c performance figures if possible.

Editor is found in the scen folder, not as extensive as one might like though.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

I think it's just a scenario editor not a database editor...

You can tinker with experience and armour ratings.

michaelm did a version of witpload for UV (UVLoad) - it is posted on Spooky's site (its in the WitP Tools section). The problem is that if you modify the database (ship class, aircraft, devices) it applies these changes to all scenarios not just the one you want to mod, so make sure you do a backup of the scenario folder first.

Please be aware that if you use the Games enclosed Scenario Editor it must be used with the latest Patched Version of the Game, and if if the game is updated with a new patch that scenario must be re-done with that patched Version or errors will occur ( most likly weapons database errors ) in playing the scenario.

Having said that, you can change much of how the Games combat results plays out by tinkering with the Ships-Airgroups-Leaders ratings.
