Modern OOBs

Post by mb4329 »

I noticed over on the blitz site that some intrepid indiviual came up with OOBs (US, Russia, etc.) up until 1999 for Divided Ground. Since I don't have DG I was trying to see if I could port over the files, but have meet with limited success. Does anyone know if there is a conversion of these files or anything similar for the new Campaign series?

Thanks,
Merrick

While there are some fascinating units that are included with that MOD, I would probably wait until a new DG, or something similar, is released. DG has functionality that the MCS does not have, which could lead to unit problems.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the info. I will keep my fingers crossed. I have been trying to find a replacement for GMT's Assault series and CS seems to fit the scale well. I have played Flashpoint Germany but wanted something with non-abstracted infantry and map that was a different scale (i.e. 250m vs 500m).

BTW, nice maps in your portfolio, do you use a GIS product to lay them out?

Regards,
Merrick

Too kind, thank you.

No, most of my work is done in CorelDraw.

I use ESRI products (Arc 9.2) during my day job, also making maps but for an environmental consulting firm, and find the GIS software just doesn't have the same "finishing" qualities that Corel offers.

Thank you again!
