The 'C' key?

If you have already targeted an enemy, hit the "C" key. You should have a small "menu" come up showing your unit's weapons listed 1-4. You hit the number corresponding to the weapon you want to fire and whammo. On version 2.3 it works anyhow.
Wish I could tell my tank to fire BOTH machine guns, but not the main gun - but it's better than nothing.

Thanks for the answer. I guess I haven't been selecting a target FIRST. Have to use the 'T' key first?

Got it (finally). Use the "T" key to select the target. Then the "C" key and TYPE in the weapons number (clicking on it don't get it)!!

Owl. You can fire both machineguns without using the main gun. Just turn the main gun off. Right click on the unit, than select the weapon you dont want to use. Now it wont fire. I use that option when there is a lot of infantry, against which the main gun is almost useless.

You can also right click on the unit. A data sheet appears. Click on the weapons you want to disable. The letter will turn red. That weapon won't fire.

Be sure to turn it back on. I've done that. I turned off the cannon, and forgot to turn it back on. When I ran across a Panther and my tank could not opfire with its cannon, it was a tragedy.
