Can you divide and create new air groups?

I saw barges in the screen shots, what can you do with them?

Are there armored barges?

I have another question that I didn't want to trash up on Iain's thread. I see Iain is expecting the U.S. to have a ton of medium bombers within a month or two. I also know that the medium bombers, or at least the B-25's, began using skip bombing very effectively. It was certainly much more effective than trying to hit something from altitude.

Does the game provide for that so making medium bombers more effective? I know Gary made a distinction between glide bombing and dive bombing in BTR based on the height of the plane when it reached the target. I was thinking that any attack set for 1000' or below might result in skip bombing.

Well, thanks. I'm going to wander back to Iain's screen again and wait for an update.

from the manual:

„h Planes flying a naval attack with an altitude of 100 feet will skip bomb and strafe their target. Skip bombing is a very accurate way to bomb a ship if the experience of the pilots is over 60, but the accuracy falls steeply below 60 and very dramatically below 50. Of course, flak from ships will be very intense at 100 feet.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Wow! You guys are great! You did it just the way it should be done! I'm sure you're wishing we'd hold these questions until we bought the silly game . . . .
