A Peek at Re-Worked Tarawa Map....

Post by Orzel Bialy »

this is the revision of #1...then I prefer to unveil the others when the campaign is ready for testing. :) Sorry.
Not that I want to keep things Top Secret or anything, but I just want to have everyone to be able to look at the maps when the campaign is finished and say "wow!".
You'll have to take my word for it that it looks even better with the gun emplacements and beach obstacles in place. I'm very pleased with what has taken shape thus far...and I think anyone who is interested will be just as pleased when they see the finished work. I've placed a lot of emphasis on getting it as realistic as possible...so it is a time consuming task, but as I have said before...I think it's been worth it.
Ok, take a look if you like. Let me know what you think...I've got to get back to map #2 and do a few more things before I turn in for the night.

Rook,

I know you seem very interested in the maps...and since I'll be looking to have the campaign play-tested by two or three people before I post the finished product for general downloading, would you like to be one of the play-testers? :)

Redleg that offer goes to you as well, since you have provided me input and assistance...I would appreciate it if you were one of the testers. :)

I see the maps have each had over a dozen downloads, so I think I shouldn't have too much trouble finding another tester. Once I get some feedback and make whatever changes are needed (hoopefully, there won't be many) to balance the game out...then I'll post it for downloading.

Ok...lunch is almost over. I'll keep everyone posted about the campaigns progress. Map#2 should get the finishing touches tonight...then it's on to detailing out the 3rd and 4th nodes.

The whole project is getting there...a bit slower than I had hoped for...but it'll be worth it. (Just have to keep telling myself that.) Not to mention my wife is getting ready to kill me when I sit up to 2 am working on it night after night!!! :D

Understood my man! Yes I would love to help play test it for you!
Just take your time - When you feel its ready! Nothing makes better scenarios then when the designer holds out till he feels it is right. :D

The offer to test is appreciated but I am over my head as it is... once again.

No time to test campaigns. Thanks, though.

However, I will be able to pass along any info I may have about Betio as you progress

Redleg and Rook

Redleg, I understand completely...you always seem to have something cooking...so keep at it. Thanks again for the input thus far. :)

Rook, thanks for making yourself available as a play-tester. I appreciate your willingness to make some extra time to assist me in getting this campaign squared away.

If there are any other armchair generals out there willing to do some playtesting...let me know. I would like to get the feedback of at least two to three people before breaking this campaign.

Hopefully you have all found the second map to be somewhat more detailed and a better representation of what the island actually looked like.

OK, back to work once again.
