Year 81:

Domitian succeeds his brother Titus as emperor. Domitian was not a soldier like his two predecessors, and his administration was directed towards the reinforcement of a monarchy. By taking the title of Dominus ("lord"), he scandalized the senatorial aristocracy. Romanisation progressed in the provinces, and life in the cities was greatly improved. Many provincials -- Spanish, Gallic, and African -- become Senators.

The Arch of Titus is constructed.

Pliny the Younger was flamen Divi Augusti (priest in the cult of the Emperor).

Finished it on normaly as scotland and as austria. was on the way to finishing it as england and got bored. It seems like once you get your jugernaught going its pretty hard for them to stop you. I am waiting for pike and muskett 2 the mod to come out it looks good. That and i am interested in a group of guys that used to do mods for that series that have now gone off and formed their own game studio and are doing a napoleonic game.

I have to agree.

Some of the mods do look rather good.

2 of the Dutch PTs decided to go for it. It ended...badly for them.

The cowardly Japanese TF dispersed and they ended up slugging it out with the DD screen.

The other 2 Dutch PTs turned tail and ran.

Edit: I knew the only real hope was to get very lucky and surprise the IJN, which never happens in 1/42.

If that had been me as allies all the Pt boats would have been sunk for no reward.

If that had been me as the Japs, i would have had atleast one carrier torp'd!

What were they defending?
They caught up with the KB in the straight between Borneo and Sulawesi.

It's a game I'm playing against the AI. My goal is to never lose complete control the Philipines. So far, so good, but it is very early in the game and the KB is causing problems. However, so far I managed to destroy 3 heavy Art rgt on PI and I repulsed the attack at Menado. Mendanao is still mine also. My biggest problem is that the Japs got a hold of Jolo and now have 300 AC on it.

Singapore will fall and Rabaul is about to fall also.

Big E and Lex have been playing a game of chicken with the KB around Sulawesi

PBEM. I only play the AI to fill in the gaps between PBEM turns.

The AI is a horrible opponent, so the only way to make it challenging is to set very aggressive goals. Then it can be a little bit fun. I'm hoping for Tokyo by 12/43. [:D]

I think the farthest i have ever got with the AI is 8/42 and then it started running damaged carriers that couldn't fly ops at darwin and i quit. It's just no fun to beat up on the retarded AI.

Farthest I have played the AI is 2.43

I am going to try to help the AI along a little by taking control once in a while and sending ships back to HI for repair or taking LCU that are hopelessly split and send them to a central location...still it isn't going to be much of a contest.

It's fun to play the AI until it's in an impossible position.......and then switch sides.......it is the only way to get a real challange out of it.......
