Xanthe Crash

I'm in the final stage of the game, and all I'm getting are partol missions in Xanthe. When I go on these missions these three unknown Hegemony ship jump into the Xanthe system. When I or another ship attack them the game crashes to desktop. There is nothing else to do in this sector just the three ships. Does anyone know how to fix this. If not can you at least tell me how the game ends. I don't care about spoiling it. Btw I reinstalled the game twice no mods or editing and I tryed the 5.01 patch.

no i have no idea how to fix this, but once i tried jumping into the other system and there was a fleet of zolon ships, so im guessing it has somethin to do with the zolon.

kinda sux tht u cant beat it.
