You Know

Post by Titanwarrior89 »

this is a really good series. I had a chance to play it years ago but put it back and didn't buy it. I wished now I had bought the game. I didn't know then that it was a decent wargame. I thought it was a cheezee market game. How wrong I was.

Which threater do you guys play more? Me its the Pacific theater[:D]

Don.t know why but the pacific theater really pulls me. Even though the east and the west were very interesting theaters. Nice that we have the option for all three and the editors. Cool[:D]

I've played a lot of the Rising Sun scenarios and I like the setting, especially because there are a number of scenarios that take advantage of the night rules. Also the unique Japanese Banzai attack provides another interesting feature, and the AI does seem to use it pretty well.

About the only downside of the Pacific theatre is that most battles tend to be close range infantry fights in jungle or forest, which can get a bit monotonous. I've started tinkering with the Japanese paratroop units just to have some variety. Also there are Japanese amphibious tanks IIRC in the game, might make for an interesting fantasy scenario.

I am really interested in trying the West Front Scenarios and campaigns, but I always seem to be dragged back into playing the East Front 2 and Rising Sun. [:D]

I think the system is great and a pleasure to play [:)]
