Allied plane tops are skewed badly!

Post by m10bob »

Sorry guys, with the newest Allied plane tops just released for RHSCVO, the Allied planetops are drawing to wrong artwork in many cases....Further, many are showing light blue wing edges, causing some to completely hide the entire tail area on some..

I think that only x.75 EOS got the correct bitmap aligned, CVO release is pending....

Bliztk, in theory m10bob is correct. From the Cobra Aus download thread: "Download link Allied EOS/STD works for all senarios". "STD" stands for "standard" (CVO is part of the "standard" thing).

Mifune has expressed a similar view - that some plane art seems wrong. I forwarded his query to Cobra - who may be working or sleeping or actually doing something just now -

I had found several problems with both sides and Cobra said he had posted the wrong strips (as well as sending directly)- so he sent me a new set to review - but I found one problem in the Japanese filmstrip (Standard filmstrip has a biplane version of Hawk instead of a P-35 monoplane Hawk)
- which is why I did not release the non EOS files.

Filmstrips can be upgraded during a game and are not a big problem to fix. Cobra said he had sent out the wrong filmstrips - and posted the wrong ones - and so it may be that the "right" one has only the RTAF Hawk problem stated immediately above. Either way, I am sure the right strip will

I will check for any more eratta - and issue ALL the files - and distribute to primary list the corrected filmstrips -

and Cobra will in due course issue and post a completely corrected set - I am pretty sure we are putting the dots on the i and the crosses on the t here.

It is just a pointer issue, so you can have your bipe back =)

now that sid's download have been look after I will now look at art problems
the reports I am getting are what I am after as these are brand new panels and are sure to have teething problems
A picture tells a 1000 words if possible if you see a Pink Eye or blue fringe problem (no pointer problems these are in Sid's area) please take a screen shot and send to me so I can see the problem - I will also be doing the same through testing but only on limited basis
due to other commitments

ok guys picture me banging my head against the wall I am at a loss at the moment and cant work it out so I need some more brains looking at this problem which I have not seen before
first I thought the panel size was causing slipage and srewing the alp0ha panels
The Japaenese panels dont have this problem I have not seen it yet but the Allied panels
have
Study the attached sample and see if you can come up with possible cause
The P-26a has the Walrus alpha coming up under it hence the blue and bad art a lot of other art have the same problem - I have checked and re-created the alpha and replaced the original
same result still testing to find cause
