RHS v6.743 scenario set Posted at Send Space and avail at Web Site

This is approximately final:


This update is mainly concerned with eratta, but also it

1) Revises the Chinese army;

2) Adds a new map entry point feeding Urumchi;

3) Adds many Allied HQ

4) Adds about 100 USN LSTs and reworks about 600 of them for date and entry point;

5) Revises the loadouts of some JAAF bombers and associated units;

Aircraft art pointers will follow as microupdate 6.75 but should NOT be installed UNTIL Cobra releases the revised Japanese aircraft art filmstrip.

It appears the new standardized ship art is not in sync with these files with respect to US submarines. A revised art release should not impact these files. IF it does, a similar microupdate will occur - probably also 6.75.

All known eratta worked into this file set.

We do not intend to continue to update these files unless there is significant eratta reported in the next week. We intend to play based on these files - and to do a final update based on lessons learned - far in the future.

There are some issues (two bitmaps duplicated) fowarded to Sid to fixing

I plan to review a one more time the auxiliares, since I`m not 100% sure if they are all right.

this morning I had a mixed bag of downloads from Sid so I combined all these into 1 download and has been posted at Send Space and avail at Web Site
the files are
1 V7.75 EOS full scenario update

This file release is simply 7.743 debugged in every sense.

These files are comprehensive, but in fact most are unchanged from 7.743.

The leader file was corrected by Blitzk for leader date of appearance issues - and I don't know how many
eratta were involved.

The aircraft file was corrected by two art pointers - and one radar facing issue.

The ship class file was corrected by two art pointers - one fuel issue - and maybe one or two other field issues.

The location file moved a HQ (Canadian Western Air Command) from a slot hard coded for the Japanese (but undocumented and illogical as such). It corrected the ROC artillery brigade formation so the brigades will stay at full strength if in supply. A base force was corrected to point at itself (zero).

These files are frozen and will not change unless SIGNIFICANT eratta re detected. The RHS tag team game will activate from now and run until we no longer are learning from the process - after which we will do another update.

Level 5 and 6 RHSEOS will follow immediately.

Standard files will file as soon as one technical issue is addressed.

Level 5 and 6 pwhex file sets will probably come tomorrow.

No decision on developing anything has been made. But the leading candidate is to do pwhex files for the winter map of Level 7 - because level 7 map art is mostly ready.

This file set is slightly later than 7.75 and has a few minor eratta corrected in it. I don't think it has any art pointers which are incorrect - but I do think there is at least one problem with plane art that means there will be new filmstrips. These can be changed whenever they come out - even in a game underway. This is probably FINAL, even if there is more art it won't change the files.

The so called micro updates above are in fact comprehensive - they are ALL comprehensive.


Looks like pointers are right so we will upload everything at x.751 level - including re-release of EOS -

x.751 differs from x.75 in two ways:

a) A few reprted location errors are corrected

b) BBO scenarios (including RPO and PPO) have D1/D2 type transport submarines vice small transport subs -
reflecting the original IJN plan in this matter

It also looks like the NEW process to sync alpa to the tops worked better than I hoped, have not seen any blue fringe or Pink Eye faults yet

My luck changed last night took a break and went to my Club and in 5 mins won $4.000Au on the
Pokies + for the first time in months WITP did not CDT at end of 1st turn the got up at 2.am and fixed the Allied problem 1st try

Three (or four, depending on scenario) eratta are folded in here. This brings Level 7 to x.753 standard, where it will remain unless some significant issue is detected. This is also probably the time to stop updating Level 6. The worst error was USS Pelecan "air group" upgrading from a floatplane to a night fighter. In EOS only a US division appeared at the wrong location.
