What about this

Post by U2 »

I'm just playing Pacific War and Carrier Strike over and over again.
I just love the state of the art graphics.

I would have voted for wailing and crying and asking God why do I always seem to spend my days waiting for the next "gotta have" game - but it wasn't on the list.:D

Staring at the preliminary WITP huge map as my Windoze wallpaper and say "ooo oooh ahaaaaha!" and have my co-workers walk by my office with concerned glances inside.

I voted #4 of course.

Yes playing Pac-War. The most resent fun was playing max advantage allied and winning in 04/42. I tried a new strategy sent us navy carriers to Timor and ran strikes on to the nearest ilsands. the japanese kept sending in invasions without carrier support. the game was short and sweet.

HEY it was just for fun. I usually win max japan by nov-dev 42.
It was something to watch you aircraft pools increase so quickly.
I might try my carrier option against the max japan and see if I can cut down the win time.

When I'm at home it's definitely number 4 for me. When I'm at work I sit in a classroom with a faraway look on my face while 30 16 year olds sit thinking I've completely lost my mind. What they don't realise is that I'm planning how to defend the landing area against Admirals Tanaka, Mikawa et al. Don't ask who al is.

Incidentally Ron, if you start one more thread stating that UV has been released (for whatever reason you may have) I'm going to fly over there and blow your bar to pieces.

Only 5 days to my birthday and still no UV. Surely you guys aren't going to let me down?

I voted for number 6, playing Space Empires IV. Just until UV comes out of course.

BTW the Rarouranese Empire has just launched carrier strikes from New Guadalcanal to New New Caledonia. How says Pacwar in space isn't fun.

I am going to lead an expedition and we're (me and the brothers Jimmy Blenkinsop) going to climb both peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Well, well.

There is nothing like this game

Post by mogami »

There is Nothing Like this game (to the tune of 'Nothing like a Dame')

we've got Watchtower on the sand
we've got Pacwar on the sea
we've got scenarios and modules you can pick right off link trees
we got War in Russia and forums and a lot of Matrix games
what ain't we got?
we ain't got this game.

we'll get PBEM at home,
we get AAR's real nice
we get screen shots and evrything that they shows
we get updates from our skipper and advice from tokeo rose
we get letters doused with details we get dizzy from what they tell
what don't we get? you know darn well

we got nothing to put on a clean hard drive for
'no clean hard drive
what we need there is no substitue for
'no substitute at all'

there is nothing like this game
nothing in the world
there is nothing you can name that is anything like this game.

we get restless we feel blue
we feel lonely and in grief
we feel every kind of feeling but the feeling of relief
well if your hungry as a wolf felt when he met red riding hood what don't we feel,
we don't feel good

lots of things in life are beautiful but brothers
'oh my brother' there is one particular thing that is nothing whatsoever in any shape or form like any other '
and I like that shape... of thing'
there is nothing like this game...

nothing else is built the same nothing in the world,
has the features and comprehensive frame like the programing of this game
i said there is nothing 'there's nothing
' there's absolutely nothing like the frame of this game

so suppose the games AI ain't bright
or completly free from flaws
or as faithful as a bird dog
or as kind as santa claus
Its a waste of time to worry over things that it has not.
be thankful for the things it's got

there is nothing that you can name that is anything like this game.
there are no books like this game,
nothing looks like this game
there are no drinks like this game and nothing thinks like this game
nothing acts like this game or atracts like this game
there ain't a thing thats wrong with any man here
that can't be cured by putting him near
a brand new shiny on CD gone gold version'
Of this game...........

"South Pacific" is one of my favorite movies of all time and very appropriate for this subject. That made my day.

A prediction: UV will go gold Monday April 12, will ship on May 6 (Mayday).
